IN-MIND (International Conference on Multidisciplinary Innovation in Psychology) Master's Program in Psychology, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) 2025

Theme
Play, Joy, and Well-Being: Rethinking Exercise through Health Psychology
Background
Mental and physical health are two pivotal aspects that are interrelated in shaping the quality of human life. In recent decades, approaches to health, particularly in the domain of health psychology, have increasingly emphasized the importance of pleasurable experiences, such as play and joy, as integral to physical activity and overall well-being.
The notion of sport and physical activity has evolved from a mere form of physical exercise to a multifaceted psychosocial practice that can contribute to holistic well-being. This perspective facilitates interdisciplinary discourse among fields such as psychology, education, public health, recreation, and even the arts. Consequently, it fosters the development of innovative, humanistic, and enjoyable approaches to health.
With this in mind, the Master of Psychology Program at Surabaya State University (UNESA) organized IN-MIND: International Conference on Multidisciplinary Innovation in Psychology with the theme "Play, Joy, and Well-Being: Rethinking Exercise through Health Psychology."
The conference will function as a forum for scientific collaboration and the exchange of ideas related to the study and development of various multidisciplinary innovations concerning physical activity, play, and health psychology.
